question is simple:
what is the best pistol and shotgun in games from aspects of sound and feeling you recommend?
i mean , when you shoot you feel good even if it is not the most realistic model and sound.

Yeah, MoH:AA and even Airborne had some fantastic rifle sounds - ESPECIALLY the M1 Garand.

double barreled shotgun.
total. utter. win.
as for pistol... well id have to think about that one... though i have always found the desert eagle in counter strike to be pretty fucking satisfying.

Bad Company 2 i think have some of the best weapon sounds in any game.
Crysis 1/2 also pretty good
And i remember the old Day and Defeat had some nice sounds, but i haven't played it for a long time.

Killing floor if you ask me, has really great feeling when firing most weapons especially the shotguns and the beretta.
Oh and I have to mention SoF:3 ( Yes the shitty budget game) for having the most amazing reloading animations I have seen in any FPS, those of you who have played it should know what I'm talking about.

+1 for the desert eagle (shame it is hard to find gun like that in sp games)
about M1 i also loved the feeling of the M1 at Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway (i know that it needs 4 headshots to kill lol, but i like to use this gun, even to shoot at wood or fence.
also loved the M1 at call of duty 1.
about shotgun i loved the timeshift shotgun (loved to freeze enemies in the air and shoot at them  )
also i do agree with you guys about fear. fear's shotgun is really one of the best around. and now when thinking of it, max payne pistols and shotgun were fun too..i thing it is the bullet time that makes it so enjoyable to use more than the sound or the reality.

well...no need to be realistic, the question is about sound and feeling which will bring together good feeling and fun, so even if the pistol look less like pistol but it gives a good feeling when using it. |
