critically acclaimed? LOL This series was panned over the board in Denmark and was cancelled. It was complete shit.
No clue about this one, ofc.

The Killing US is also very good. This remains to be seen.

The pilot was OKish, nothing special though and the psychopath was, well, ridiculous
But the ending made me a tiny bit more interested in the series.

Just a guess
Her father abused her horribly, her mother didn't interfere.
She killed them both making it look like an accident. She has a photo of her house among the photos of other sociopaths/killers houses. She doesn't know what to think of herself and her past keeps screwing with her head. She hopes that a brilliant profiler will help her to better understand who she is (is she a cop? is she a murderer? is she a psychopath who needs to be locked up, does her daughter needs to be protected from..her?), maybe 'fix" her.

Well, it wasn't bad and absolutely better than the majority. But I wouldn't call it very good. Especially stretching out the first story line over two season was terribly bad. There wasn't enough to go on imo. I liked the last season though. Let's see what S04 holds (now Netflix).

None of that was in the original. In the original she was just an extremely irresponsible policewoman working with an even more irresponsible profiler. Was laugh out loud worthy some of the insane decisions they made

Not surprised, I tried watching the pilot earlier this week and got about half hour in before I really stopped giving a shit. Turned it off, never again.
