Haven't played this game in a while and nothing I have is remotely interesting so I'm going back to a time when not all games blew more dick than our White House secretary.
There were official patches and unofficial patches. What unofficial patch made the game super awesome fixed even more bugs and do I need the official patches as well, or does the unoff. include those.

The Bloodlines Unofficial Patch 7.1 (i think it's the latest version) includes the fixes from the offcial patch.

The 1.2 patch is always included with the Unofficial Patches and *strongly* recommend you use Wesp5's "Unofficial Patch 7.x" and not that god-fucking-awful piece of shit "True Patch" from Tessera. Tessera is a pole-smoker and his "patch" is shite.

Haven't heard about this Tessera guy. Anything special about his patch apart from the sucking? First Dan(?) and then wesp have been working for ages on their patch, seems silly to make another patch.

Check out the Bloodlines thread - sabin laid it out perfectly for those who haven't been following the e-drama.
Short version - this Tessera person claimed that wesp's patches are actually mods because they add/restore some stuff that "wasn't intended to be there by the developers" and came up with a "true patch" that only focuses on fixing the bugs.

Well this Tessera moron was right at the moment, that's when Wesp decided to separate bugfixes and tweaks into basic and plus patches. I played Bloodlines with Wesp's pre-basic/plus patches and each new version became harder and harder for non-combat oriented characters (because of his "modding"). But since Wesp always provides detailed changelog, his patch is the way to go (basic version for first or second playthrough, plus version for more fun).

rofl. it sortof sums up the internet as a whole, all in four little entries.
anyway, I put the game down back when it was buggy, and also the fucking ghost hotel thing got to me and I lost a save and said no way was I going through that shit again. is there a way to skip the fucking hotel? I got mindfucked and I'd like to avoid that experience a 2nd time.

ugh, im starting to remember why I stopped playing this years, ago, tons of unofficial patches and the game is still a buggy mess. Took almost 10 minutes just to get through the first door of the game cause the pop up didn't want to come up to say what the item use icon was and now I've been stuck in an elevator for 5 minutes. Had to reload which lucky me was all the fuck back at the beginning of the tutorial

First I thought that they were merely a bunch of spoiled kids, but they are to knowledgeable to be that young, but anyway Tess acts like he is a paranoid conspiracy nut living in a trailer while wearing a tinfoil hat, and have the same effect on his followeres.
See what I mean? Tessera is a full on, Grade A, douchenozzle. He's even been PERMABANNED from posting/editing anything on Wikipedia, lmao!
WOD is hell fucking hard to understand for all the console derps.. they'll go "pew pew" at everything.
