so yeah, i don't have a dvd drive. tried installing win7 via my trusty 8gb usb stick, usual yadda yadda make bootable methods, tried em all...and everytime, even if i just insert the usb stick while i'm in the BIOS, it fucks up my new pc, it restarts every 5 seconds, can't even get into the BIOS anymore while the usb stick is connected.

wizarD is my witness, no matter how much i raged on skype, nothing worked and i was almost ready to shell out the massive amount of 20 bucks for a dvd drive. so i'm like, "maybe complicated isn't the right way, let's do it moron style", format my usb stick to fat 32 (no cmdline stuff, just right click on drive), copy the win7 install files on it and suddenly it works like a charm.

now of course i'm happy as fuck, but could anyone here explain this to me? and yes, i'm happily stoned right now Laughing
