Still have my W810i Sony Ericsson that i bought in June 2006 , poured superblue over it yesterday by mistake and it still works fine
i could buy a new phone but since i don't really need wi-fi and shit like that i'll probably use the w810i to death..I'm not clumsy (the glue incidents doesnt count since it sprayed and the stream reached the phone) but you never know what might happen and today's phones arent that well build , you drop your htc or apple once and it's pretty much finished, and you need a sleeve for it or something.I dropped my SE from about 2-3m and it still working fine.

iPhone 4. Simply because iOS has way more games, and quality ones at that when compared to Android. The screen looks oustanding as well with the high pixel density. Compared to equivelant Android phones it also has signficantly better battery life. I looked at the EVO, but didn't like the fact that it had less then half the battery time for almost every use.

then go buy a regular phone and waste money on everything else. I like being able to play games and browse the net when im at work while on break/lunch, gps when im driving some where unfamiliar, show friends a quick youtube video of something funny, listen to music while im jogging and if I get a phone call while doing so...
all less juggling of hardware and gadgets laying all over the house. |

In the mean time, the rest of the world will start carrying around a single device that does all those things good anyways.
The entire reason the iPhone is so successful is due to the fact that it's also an iPod, you can browse the web on it, it's got the GPS, and it's powerful enough to play some decent looking games.
The camera thing is valid, and a stupid smart phone camera will never be as good. That said, not everyone wants to carry around a camera all the time anyways. So having the camera there as an option is nice. I can't exactly carry around my $2000 camera with me everywhere. Not to mention the camera on the iPhone 4 is pretty decent. It can also take 720p video that looks decent as well. Once again, it all comes down to the fact that I can't carry around a bunch of extra shit with me all the time.
I used to carry around a shit $25 cell phone, a nintendo DS, and an iPod.
Now my $200 iPhone is the only thing I carry around, and while there were titles on the DS that the iphone doesn't have - More and more quality titles are being released on the iPhone. Chinatown Wars is a good example of this.
Basically, your opinion sounds just as childish as that stupid fucking PSP commercial with the black kid. Yeah, thats great, the PSP has like 5 good games. Guess what, all I carry around is one device. (That easily fits in my pocket at that. The DS and PSP don't exactly fit in your jean pockets easily) Not my problem you couldn't afford anything better then a ten dollar flip phone since you are a 13 year old kid.
I think you need to go use modern smartphones, as they aren't anywhere near as bad as they were since the original iPhone came out, basically. Once the iPhone came out the game changed. Now we have the iPhone 4, and any number of other great Android OS devices.

I kind of have to agree, this phone is a fucking catastrophe when it comes to performance. If you've got more than two apps up it will take ages to switch between them and just do stuff on the phone.
I do however love the qwert keyboard and it's worth gold for sms'ing, unfortunately that's about the only thing I love about the phone. |
