Hey,
Its been 2 days that I have been suffering from incredible slow downs in the internet, I have 12mbps and in the past 2 days when trying with speedtest.net all i get is 3mbps!!
I went to another pc of my brother (same network and through wireless also) and the internet there is 12mbps.
I tried to download something with some download manager (IDM) and I have the same slow download speeds,
I have Eset smart security and scanned the pc lots of times.

I have a desktop PC with a wireless receiver, I have been using it for ~2 months with no problem in connection except the last 2 days!

Anyone please help me?

Maybe a neighbour set up his wireless connection and his wireless channel is interfering with yours. Try to switch the wireless channel of your router and look if you achieve better results. Or attach a cable and see if you can reach higher values Smile

Or did you maybe change your usb hardware and it's operating at usb 1.0 speeds? (maybe a new extension cord or usb hub)

Yeah, I get same wifi crap problems. In my bedroom, only certain channels give me full speed. On the living room, only other channels give me speed. Mad Gotta hate "tech-savvy" neighbors and their crappy wi-fi connections! (Yes, in Israel wi-fi is considered tech-savvy. Laughing)

Its your WIFI connection. Reset router, reset modem. If still an issue, change channels, change to B\G\N or whatever is available. If sill an issue, get a better wifi router (or flash with DD-wrt).
