Ugh cant stand this idiot. He works in the same group as me, with field it and networking. This guys been working here for over a year now but still doesent know shit. He keeps asking me the same questions, stuff he should know in his sleep and francly sometimes my jaw drops at the stuff he says, stuff he asks me and so on.

Prior to this work he suppusedly worked for 10 years as a network technitian over at Volvo IT. Still he doesent know anything about routing, switching, has no idea what the osi-model is.
Sometimes I wanna knock his lights out, other times I almost cant keep a straight face and want to just laugh in his face at the stuff he says and call him a complete and utter idiot.

Its a shame I'm not gay or I'd try raping him in teh butt...

If there's something I enjoy it's degrading the living shit out of those idiots. I just look them straight in the eye and let loose. Those dipshits that went to IT schools yet don't know shit about computers get it worst.

Why would I hold back act polite and suffer stress on account of some lazy fuck who doesn't want to RTFM where it's his job to do that 50% of the time?

Nah I hate to be the whining guy complaining about everything and everyone. I've been hoping that my co-worker would slip up and do something moronic for the boss to see but here in Sweden it seems incompetence isnt a big issue. As long as you arrive at the office and sit at your desk from 8 am- 17pm.

The good thing about this guy is that hes given me the motivation to do some studying. Take a few courses and look for a new job. Oh the horror of having to work with this guy for another year Crying or Very sad

Yeah of course, sometimes you just need to let of some steam. Reminds me of an old story about a kid complaining about his teacher to his dad and how much he wanted the teacher to be laid of. His dad tells him that even is the teacher would be laid of, they'd hire a new one.

I bough Red Dead Redemption today, hope that'll cheer me up some.

John Marstons a guy from 2054 and you are actually playing in a VR machine (kinda like AC)

There you go, now you know the ending so you dont have to play the game.

I have the same problem at work. He has a much higher pay than me and does not know shit. Every time he asks me how to configure something and on projects I am configuring everything and plus I troubleshoot for him. He is good as a person but as a coworker and IT guy he is really bad.

He is CCSP certifed and I am CCNP and still I work on firewalls and configure VPNs.
If I would not love all networking technologies I would get crazy.

Of course it is worth. You should go up all the way to CCIE. You will know a lot about networking, earn respect Smile and your salary will be higher. It is a long way but its worth it if you like IT.

We are an outsourcing company that is specialized for advanced routing and switching, VPNs, Data centers, high availability, monitoring etc etc.

I live in Sarajevo as you can see under my avatar. The salaries are not that high here because
Bosnia is not a rich country, but I can say that I have a higher salary than some guys with faculty because of my specialization.

I dont know where you live but if you are in a country with a high standard than you will be paid well with CCNP and specially with CCIE cert.

Never got any certifications but I had to learn Cisco at work because no one else wanted to, lol. The language is pretty easy to learn imo. Its just very different from any other "programming" language iv learned.

@scarfacew3: really unfair and annoying. But thats how it is Sad Id get a better job if I where you. The bosses mainly know "IT strategy" and its basically just telling us how it should be, without being involved with the problems it could cause Sad

Delix, it is not a programming language. As a Cisco technician/engineer you are not programming, you are configuring a Cisco device (router, switch, firewall, AP etc).
