|
 |
Season 4 starts Friday, July 17th at 9pm on Sci-Fi.
For everyone who doesn't get Eureka (whether its on the American Sci-Fi or not), the rip should be out by 11pm.
I hope I get this show tho (one of the cable chans). Cause it will come on the Canadian Space Channel (our Sci Fi) but probably not till Oct or Nov or Jan...

Isn't it more like Season 3.5? I'm showing Episode 3x08 as where I left off. Season 3 totals 22 episodes according to IMDB. At least that's what it used to say, now it only lists up to 13. Hmm.
Thanks for reminding me though!

Didn't think Eureka was still going. Is it that good?

It has some good jokes, and for me (kind of a science freak), it's funny to watch

@Immun
yeah, your right, my bad. But it hasn't been on for so long cause of that writer strike....seems like S4...and remember what happened on the last episode with Carter right? Kinda a new season I'd say.
@zip
Eureka is pretty good man. It took me like 3 episodes to get into it but dingo is right, it has some funny jokes, some science content etc
Colin Ferguson (sp?) does a good job. Don't like that Salli Richardson-Whitfield tho...annoying sometimes.
Plus she was the original wife of Teal'c on Stargate-Sg1

I heard they were changing it to that gay as name...but in the magazine I read it in (some tabloid paper/celebrity gossip rag my girl reads), its still listed as 'Sci-Fi'.
Did they change it already (we don't get Sci-Fi in Canada...I've been bugging my cable provider for a fucking year for it...but it would put our Space Channel out of commission in a sense...cuz the big series' ala BSG, we get on reg tv...but the smaller ones like Sanctuary (cool show), Eureka etc are moved to either HBO Canada or TMN (The Movie Network) channels)?
Oh, and a year later the Space Channel gets em.
Right now, Sundays at 8pm, the 'New' season of Stargate Atlantis is shown...season...4!! OMG!! lol
Its retarded how the bill it cuz if you get TMN/HBO, Season 5/series ended in the first half of the this year. We got the same day the Sci Fi channel broadcast it (fridays if I recall). And they have been replaying the whole season every Monday.

Have to agree - that name is just queer - I wonder what suit in marketing thought it'd be a good idea? Are we that fucking dumb as a culture that we need everything simplified and mainstreamed? Science-fiction has always been abbreviated as Sci-Fi , why would they shoot themselves in the foot like that? They have THE name, why lose it?
And as someone else already mentioned, Syfy translates to "zits" or "filth" in Slavic languages (Polish particularly). Also, I'm pretty sure syphilis comes to mind as well. That executive is sure earning his keep!

Doubt the channel execs care about the slavs to be honest.
Did they ever explain the reason for the name change btw? I don't think I've heard anyone say the new name is an improvement from the old one.[/quote
Yep. Saw it on The Colbert Report a while back.
They say a lot of people are put off by the term 'Science Fiction' or 'Sci-Fi'. And they wanna attract the young kids who listen to nothing but garbage pop music.
'SyFy' is more 'cool'
Somethings you don't change.
As Immunity said, they have THE name...why let it go...idiots(I wouldn't doubt if the people that run the Space Channel Canada will make a cable chan called Sci Fi...which I'm fine with lol ).

quick question:
Does season 3 have more than 18 episodes? because I could only find 18 episodes.
I just started with season 4 now and I don't like the different timeline thing =/ ...

I applaud them trying. The way they did it was as a good idea to injest new life and change the setting of the series without disrupting the procedural continuity...you can't throw them in to future or the past for 15 episodes so this is a good way to have a season long arc and still keep it 'fresh', imo.
