What do you think about this card ?
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5256326&Sku=P450-4670

1) How does it compare performance-wise in that price range ?
2) Does dual DVI mean that it can output to 2 monitors simultaneously ?

It's not bad for that price range, but this one blows anything else at that price range out of the water: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4843000&CatId=3670

It's basically what used to be the 8800 GTS-512 or 9800 GTX or one of the many names it has had. 5 bucks more, probably about double the performance.

Yes, but it can't do Eyefinity/Surround across the two if that's what you mean. You can extend a desktop onto the 2nd monitor though Smile

If it wasn't so goddamn risky I'd import from the US by declaring it as a gift. Pretty gay how everything's 25+% cheaper Sad

you mean 128 bit + gddr5 vs 256 bit + gddr3 or?

Because I have 5770 and even tho it's 128bit, gddr5 really shows the difference...

why would u buy any of those cards, it's a trash combined, save up and get gtx 460 (even 768mb will eat any of those cards inclusive 5770 for breakfast), i see no reason to buy trash instead of adding some more and getting quality that will last

depends on what the rest of his system is and if it'll bottleneck or not, of which he never told us which

im gunna assume it's for something like an HTPC since he's also asking about tv tuners.

If he needs HTPC than 460 is an overkill (if he won't be gaming on it). I would go with Radeon 5xxx series, but I'm just ATI fanboy grinhurt

5570 seems like a good choice, as it generates low heat, has small power consumption and it's not big so it's perfect for HTPC case...

@VGAdeadcafe
What's it for? Is it for an HTPC like Spykez says? If so, get the GT240 - or better yet, get some motherboard with the GF9400 on it (these typically cost as much as a discrete videocard). Run CoreAVC so you can use CUDA for some of the hardware decoding, and you're set. I've done the same on my HTPC, works a charm.

No, it's for a friend's PC, he wants some low-price gaming rig and I built him one. There's about 60-70 euros left for a gfx card, but here the prices are brutal, these are the cards I can get.

Which one has better gaming performance ? I know they're low-end cards ...

The PC has a core2Duo e6600 and 4gb DDR2.

I just wanna be able to install FarCry2, CoD MW2 and other games at reasonable gfx settings.

You could have got a much better card if you just put in 2GB RAM instead of 4GB Smile

BTW I'd take the GT240 Smile

Of those 3, the GT240 is the fastest, but even that won't be able to run FC2 @ 1280x1024 with any form of AA. Leave AA off, and you can probably get semi-playable rates (from like 20 to 40 at best). 1680x1050 you can forget about, that thing's not gonna cut it for that resolution.

Where are you from? Because in the US you can find GTS 250's or 4850's at around $70, like the one I linked above. Those are literally about twice as fast as any of the cards you mentioned. Unfortunately I doubt you'll find that in Europe, your best bet is to find a shop who are selling their last stock of these cards so you can get them at a discount.

If it's for gaming then go with GT240, it's faster than all mentioned Smile
