Hi all Smile

My parents have had a chipped virgin media tv service for a bit now and it went off as did mine in the last few day's.
It's now on nagra3 which has been in Europe the last few years and is uncrackable unfortunately.
Now seeing how my parents have the virgin media tv hd box set, which was used to get the channels for free.
There's a message that pops up on screen now saying have you lost channels(there taking the piss as niow we can't get them).
Twats.
But now we need a new smart card.
So my question is.
Seeing how we used a chipped box, will it be ok to ring virgin media up asking for the new smart card?
Seeing how now we want to pay for the services so they can send us the smart card out?
Will nothing happen and they send it out?

i'm guessing your using Eurovox?

yeah, this is in line with their new HD rollout. ITV 1 specifically I think.

Not uncrackable, there is a new layer of protection, but early signs seem this may be compromised, like the one originating from Spain.

Just tell Virgin your a new subscriber, they need the business Smile Customer services are pretty clueless.

thats a default message from the box itself when the signal is not being picked up by the hardware, this is due to the smart card not being able to deal with the new data. ( hence you hacking your box )

so no they are not twats its just std and wouldnt matter even if you were legal if it was fucked legitimately then you would still get the msg.
