Every thread in the PC games arena-forum, about a released game, is 90% about the scene release, cracks and fixes. It's almost impossible to have a discussion about strategy or general game content in these threads, and if it's a newly released AA title you can forget about it. Can't we keep that stuff in technical? Isn't that what the technical forum is for? Maybe I'm confused here, and all is as it should be, but I hope not.

So we have a forum for releases (not mentioned in the forum description or the rules/read me) and all technical difficulties concerning them, a forum for general technical difficulties, and nowhere to discuss the games themselves. I wouldn't call that obvious. A few years ago any talk regarding technical issues in the arena forum would get an angry "move to correct forum" reply, if I recall correctly.

if I had to guess I'd say this is the reason things are the way they are in these forums today.

Ok so there're two read me's in the arena.. in the read me:FAQ-thread you'll find how it's supposed to work:
http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9369

If ppl bothered to follow these simple guidelines there'd be no problem at all. But why should they when the rules aren't enforced? Moar mods! Very Happy

Shouldn't be so hard to enforce. Just make sure a mod takes a look at the game thread couple of days after it got scene released and redirect any tech questions in the right thread.

I guess the problem is that there are only 2 active mods...

I actually think ixigia could do a good job. I've never seen him get into an argument with anyone, and on this site that's a major achievment! Smile

But this isn't the right thread for such a discussion, and we're not the right ppl to be having it. 'cept for tombata as admin of course. That goes without saying.
