Is there any chance we can get a new system to get new members? like new members must be suggested by old ones? Cos its pretty dull to see these kind of spamidiots every now and then (I mean stubbs).
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

There are similar discussions from time to time afaik.
The verdict is, that they would rather have many new members and ban some that act stupid, instead of refusing the registration to all and thus nearly make it impossible for new members to get in...

How would you keep idiots out, though? The trolls usually are actually not idiots, but do it on purpose, meaning you can forget about a vouching system (like it was very long ago), because someone would come, speak nicely, get people to vouch and then troll.
So the only other solution is to go into lockdown, which is not something Rinze is willing to do.

Yeah I know there is no real solution to it. But it has to start somewhere. Same with the constant flow of people who just ignore the forum rules and request/flame/start threads for games that already has one or just ignore the fact that they post in the wrong forum. Accidents do happen, but there are people who just don't bother to check how it works or just don't give a fuck.

Hfric is an acquired taste, as are Dazz and cnz I guess. You hate them at first, but as time passes (and hundreds of dupe accounts ), you start appreciating the humor.

There is a simple solution to your problems Ankh: don't go to pc/console section

Invite only would pretty much kill off the rate of new members joining - I don't see the trolls here as a huge issue, certainly not big enough to warrant something as drastic as closing the registrations (new accounts already have to wait 24hrs before posting, after all). Plus it's actually a LOT worse in majority of forums out there. The way mods have been handling it has been just fine.

Why don't we have members list? I remember back on phpbb2 there was an option for that... It would be nice to see who's vip, mod, admin and stuff like that
