I returned to UC Irvine today for the final day of Palestinian awareness week. Amir Abdel Malik Ali, who, days after the terror attack on a Jerusalem yeshiva, stood in front of the Israeli consulate in L.A. and called Zionists the new Nazis, delivered a lunchtime tirade about America the imperialist, in bed with the Zionists, and the quick death that would soon befall one and then the other. I agree Rome is burning and worry about what that would mean for Israel, but I try not to undercut my argument by praising Hamas and Hezbollah as freedom fighters.
The scene at UC Irvine, however, was a lot tamer than in years past, and I’ll be writing more about that later. For now, I just wanted to share one of the photos I snapped, this of a torn and bloodied Israeli flag.
^That's what I say to myself every time I pass by their speakers. But still, I cringe every fucking time. I mean, hey, I'm not the biggest fan of what Israel does, but these guys push things to a whole 'nother level.

Nothing new here. They go at each other what seems like every month (actually not they, it is usually more against the Israelis than for them). And that wall (along with a model of a tank) is here even more.
tainted4ever, you also go to UCI? Im almost out of here, and cannot be happier. I enjoyed my experience in community college so much more. Rarely did a teacher at UCI give a fuck about students or anything (in EE at least, dont know about other departments). I had a very few professors who were genuinely interested in you understanding the material.

The profs here are ok. You get your hardasses and you get the people who really care. It's a mix, as it probably is in any Uni. In any case, I don't mind much. I don't attend class a lot and study from the book mostly. So a prof being bad doesn't matter to me. All I care about is how easy their tests are
