so, the last couple of months have sucked ass, I've had only like 2 weeks of work between my two jobs -electrician apprentice for a private contractor and a carpenter/laborer for a general contractor. because they are so slow.
so I do applications, I sign up for every staffing agency I know of, I do all of that shit once a week and the other days I go to skill staff, they are a daily labor place that pays a dollar or two more an hour for 'skilled' labor but they suck ass and have no work, So I go stand out in front of Home Depot if skill staff doesn't work me within a couple few hours. It's funny because im a 6'2" white guy towering over the little mexicans outside of depot, and the only white guy of about 20-100 people (depending on the weather).
So anyways, today while standing out there chatting with my little amigos sipping on hot coffee this brotha pulls up, jumps outta his whip and demands three good workers to dig some trenches for 10 an hour, I jump all over this because I like to work. This guy denies me saying "the last 4-5 white guys I had, didn't want to work and I made them leave, I paid them tho but so you want to work" and again I was like yeah. Then he recognized 1 guy and he said he'll go and his buddy.
So we all hop in our hoopties and follow. We get to his house or whoevers house and its a whole ghetto fabo remodel, really nasty grungy, probably a crack house, but he was kind enough to give us mask. So hes got me and another guy digging and hes bringing in other people from across the street and stuff, eventually theres 3 of them and the three of us. But this guy, who is working us, hes all over the place, hes saying stuff like "whoever isnt working is gone" "i want people who work" and he just keeps going on and on while hes trying to give instructions and work at the same time.
he eventually comes near me and says im filling the bin too full and its gonna be too heavy so lets empty it, he tells me to grab shovels, move chairs, grab the other wheel barrel and help him with the large bin all at once, and me being the speedy kid do it all and he just hauls ass with the bin and i follow with barrel and shovels, as we make a turn my barrel tips and spills a bit off the top, 2 snow shovels full. and this fucking dude midly freaks out and tells me shit like "now see, if you were paying attention, you gotta pay attention, look around you, blah blah" so i just grab a shovel and scoop it in the dumpster and as I did my second shovel i hear him freaking screaming "help, help me, I cant lift this myself, its too heavy" so I go in panic mode like hes hurting his back or something and jump in the bin and pick it completely up and when I do this he moves to the side and the wheel barely scrapes his knee.... OMG this mother fucker blows up
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE, YOU ALMOST BLEW OFF MY KNEE" and I put my hands up and say oh "shit, sorry, you ok" and I watched his hands, he starts reaching behind his back to pull a knife or gun and I quickly step forward to smash him but he then pulls his hand back and says "just go, just go, you havnt... you, here, 5 dollars, just go, LEAVE!" and I say "ima get my jacket" and I go in grab my jacket and come out the door, hes standing there i reach my hand to shake and say "it was an accident" and he says "no, just go".....
so what the fuck was that? its obvious he was on something but what are they doing? are mexicans disappearing for what a pos truck and some hand tools? i dont get these people... but that house, the digging underneath it.. it urks me.
so anyway, its like 9:30am and I go get my kid from my moms and take her to daycare, and go to the blood bank to donate some plasma and get some gas money so i can continue the rest of the week doing what I do and guess what while im in the shitter pissing in the urinal my phone rings, and I answer, ITS THE FUCKING JOB IVE BEEN AFTER THE PAST WEEK! he tells me he went over everything and he can work me right now and BAM im in his office in 12minutes filling out my w2 or w4 and then by noon im in a house pulling wire
I need a job myself, there isn't much going here though. Signed up with all employment agencies, hand out CVs, fill out applications, blah blah all that crap...nothing. way too much free time on my hands...ah well, least I got teh humps to entertain me

As for the crazy dude who scraped his knee, he sounds like a real douche. He was probably coked up or some shit lol.
but I wasn't patient, I was getting so anxious, I couldn't sit still, I would go and go and go until I'd run out of gas, then I'd find a way to get more gas and keep going. even while sitting in skill staff waiting for work, I would pace outside. i have work and money on my mind and can only think of that but now i finally can direct that at work and be normal again, dam sry for rambling on
