Time to move out. I had similar experience. Next door neighbor who we shared a wall with decided to begin construction on Saturday mornings at 8 AM in morning (knocking down walls, ripping up floors, everything). Well, after the 3rd weekend in the row with this, I knocked on the door and his troll wife answered saying "Yeah, so, what are you going to do about it?" She was about 4 ft tall, with fangs. I shouted every curse in the book - then her husband came to door, then some other guy came to door, then the dog came to door. Meantime, all these other neighbors were in the hallway watching.

Needless to say, we got the condo association to write them a summons and they stopped since they had no permits and doing work too early.

I never did say one single word to them again for the next year..and we moved out. Thank god. No more sharing walls with anyone!

What kind of washing machine does he have!? Sounds like he hasn't taken the metal plate that stops the drum moving off the back.

Well I have the same problem and I'm in a house! There are good neighbours and their are bad ones. Next to me is this family that's only breading. There are like 10 of them. They exploit the country and they don't raise their children so all of them are spoiled brats. And the kids that scream and run so hard that you can feel it, while you're trying to get some afternoon rest is not a good combination -.-

Why didn't you just contact the landlord and let him deal with it? Esp if the machine came with the apt.

We used to have an old upright wash wash machine at the cabin. It was like 20 + yrs old and it shook the whole house whenever it went into spin. I am sure this guys machine does the same thing when it goes into spin. That is like what? 10 mins every couple of days for a single guy.

Maybe you could help the grandma-like women but securing her pictures and her clock better. Then you could both write a formal complaint to the landlord.

Heya Mark, I guess a washing machine can become a burden to others if they make to much noise

cheeky bastard. I thought only for the poor old lady that reminded me of my own late gran Smile

she was nice. I have a lot of respect for old folks. They have lived 4 times longer than I have so they should be respected if not only for there knowledge of life.

just for the record dont get it twisted. This guy isnt a problem for me at all. I have seen him like 3 times since I moved here, he works nights I think so does most of his washing when hes leaving for work.. probably why he never answered the door to the lady cos hes not there.

Soo ay I checked the building boards and unfortunately, most of the places are privately owned.. whereas a couple of them (including the guy opposite and the old lady below) are privately owned, not rented. This raises an issue for her I guess cos theres no landlord to consult. Thankfully I got some retired australian business man and his wife living below me who are both in there early 70's. Dont think I will ever have a prob from them any time soon Smile but I think it also reminds me that im the poorest person in the building Razz they all drive amazing cars and have studio apartments whereas I only have a small 2 bedroom gig Razz.. well for now anyway. I might buy a car again soon when im back from the next work season. No need for one now.

Not really much to update, didnt see the old lady nor the douchebag today except hearing him leaving for work as usual.

lol, i had the same thing with my neighbour a few years ago, really loud music at 1am in the morning, woke my little boy up, knocked on the door, and it was a portugese dude, must of been 25ish, i told him to turn it down, he said some shit, which i didnt understand and he was smiling, and slammed the door on me, so, since im a right aggressive cunt, i banged on the door again, and he swore at me in portugese without opening the door, so my instant reaction was to kick his door down, gave him a few digs, and fucked off, nxt thing, police at my door, arrested for causing damage and assault!! fucking wankers!!
