Did you get a bottle of the "Krug, Blanc de Noirs, Clos d`Ambonnay 1995 " for 3 and a half grand?
What's with the "Tasting menu" saying it's £150 from Jan? Is that some kind of sick joke? You can get a kebab and chips from Stavros for under a fiver!

I had the tasting menu, 14 courses, pure genius, it's not just about the tasting, it's about the experience.
The Drinks came to about £600
Dunno which rioja I had, but it was £90 and it was niiiiiiice

the best wine i ever had was a kosher german red wine (but they stopped producing it).
i used to like white wine, but nowadays i cant stand it anymore and only drink red wine, most often from france.

White is too sharp for me, I have a sweet tooth but red just seems a lot easier to drink.

white wine is for women
why would I drink something that needs to be cooled to let it taste good?
so if you are having a dinner with a nice girl choose a rosé instead

All the wine is lovely.
I used to hate wine until 3 years ago when I met my gf. We had some local wines and cheese at a local wine cellar in Czech and since then I've loved all the wine.
Ok... not all, I once bought a sweet white wine for a fruit salad... and tried to drink the rest, it was just horrible. Like a kilo of sugar poured into the bottle.
Australian red wine 'Lindemans Shiraz' is really nice and cheapo, around 10 +- 5€. In Austria I like the local wines, which you get for like 2€ And when I feel like getting something really nice I get some 8€ DAC quality grüne veltliner.
Now a time for advertisement:
If you ever visit Austria, visit a tiny village close to Czech border in lower Austria, called Schrattenberg. They have a really nice wine cellar. You pay like 1-2€ for a 1/4 l of wine (they fill the wine glasses to the brim sometimes) and you'll also get really nice bread with all kinds of meats and cheeses.
I always have to have a day of fasting before going there so I can eat and drink a lot there
and then the conclusion,
Wine is great, just don't mix coke and red wine, tastes funny in the morning(after drinking).

lol no problem
One condition. Some traditional German cooking mmmmmm
Been eating at a German deli close to my house recently. I know the owner and he sends he son to deliver to only people in the area and only if he likes you.
And since i'm on the dl list, its perfect. Thats where I get all my deli meats from anyway (not a big fan of italian deli meats, save a few).

Ah...a drink off eh?
I could do that. Beer....I'll smoke you as long as we have some things to munch on or we eat first.
Liquor....well, when I drink liquor I go overboard and get trashed lol
I veggie German. Man...do you get hassled?
My sister in law is a veggie and I tease her and its common in NA.
But a German Veggie just seems so wrong given all the delicious meats.
