Community centers on Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), a suspended lawyer who is back in school after his college degree is deemed invalid by the State Bar Association. The show focuses on Jeff's experiences attending fictional Greendale Community College in Greendale, Colorado and the people he meets there. There is a professor, Ian Duncan (John Oliver), whom Jeff represented as a lawyer. He also meets a female student, Britta (Gillian Jacobs), who is his main preoccupation in the series, as well as Pierce (Chevy Chase), an aged moist-towelette tycoon who has been married seven times.
I see no love for this show on the forum. I think it might just be that no one saw anything good coming from NBC at this time, but I assure you that this is comedy gold.
The first two episodes are great, but the rest are just fantastic. Chevy Chase's characted is brilliant and the "the dark knight" episode is probably the only batman-parody/spinoff tv episode wothy of airtime.
I love this show. It's quick and the characters are very like-able. I don't know how long it can stay fresh but it does have a solid foundation with the 'love interest' between jeff and brita. The show should be around for a while.
Just found out about this show and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
Haven't seem Chevy Chase in a while. He seems to gel really well with the rest of the cast, and his role (crazy old guy who keeps trying to prove he's still young, with a not so secret fetish for the stereotypical black housewife in the study group) is awesome! Funny stuff.

The DnD episode was epic (2x14 I think it was)! Chase sunk to a new asshole low with his lines on that one.
Season 3 starts September 22nd, can't wait!

Pretty good series A little too "teaching" sometimes, but very good ... and abed and troy are so great in the ending credits. Each of them are pure comedy gold!
I loved when they played bert and ernie, I recognized them before they said anything

you know what will happen soon... you'll finish all the episodes. then you'll want more. there isn't more for now. And then one episode a week. This feeling fucking sucks. Internet has spoiled us! Thank god for youtube and their advertisements.
I did that with white collar. And ended on a big ending :'( and now i have to wait for the cliffhanger to stop waking me up at night.
I'm not watching true blood until the series is over.
Didn't watch winter is coming until the season finished. And I realized i made the mistake of not waiting Now i want moar!!!
