How do you defeat Valden? that guy can really take a beating, says on the scroll that he's immune to everything but electric damage, I use lightning on him but it doesn't work

I see, what is your first impression so far? how does it run performance wise, think you'll need a uber computer to run it smoothly or will mid-end computers do well?

No you definitely won't need an enthusiast computer to run it, theres many setting and degrees of most of the settings, so you can fine tune it to your hardware.
It definitely doesn't feel like a bad port as I expected it would, the interface is very pc in nature and so you'll feel you're playing a pc rpg and not a console rpg, as you did with Oblivion without mods for instance.

Nice, now you just increased the pain of waiting :/
How far into the game are you? how many hours?

This is quite a few hours into the game actually.
You need both the dvds during installation, you have multiple res textures on the pc, you don't have that on the console, this means you can get a nicer looking game here if you've got the hardware for it, than on 360.
The dvds are play disk 1 and play disk 2.

It is interesting, this thread has become more related to the game than the official one. :\

Is it co-op?
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!

Wait.
PC version of dragon age is co-op?
I was under the impression that there was no multiplayer at all. Do you need to plug in pads or something? Can it be done over the net? Abuhwuuhhh

Don't be silly, theres no mp in this game at all.
However I must say that it's a fun game atleast, I don't know if I agree with the reviews, I might stretch myself as far as calling it very good, but not great. It's definitely better than a lot thats being released these days.
I especially like the fact that a seemingly normal or trivial encounter can prove fatal if you're not careful. Though I am playing on Hard.
The combat in Knights of The Chalice is tougher though.

It's PC>Console port, it would have been out 2 years ago but then they decided to delay the PC release to put out versions for the xbox and ps3.
