Aye, open the board up and check to see if one of the springs has come lose. It's usually, depending on the board, a dual-spring clip setup - one "spring leg" on each end of the bar. Failing that, it will be a blister strip underneath it ... check for dirt or other residue causing the blister to stick on depression.

He's not missing anything, I had all my spacebars like this, the metal "how-you-call-it" is just out of its place and is not assisting in the lift.

Time for a new keyboard. I have one of those tiny tiny new mac keyboards. Has a great cover, you hardly know it is there. Life saver.

Pistol, are they comfortable to write? I mean, if they are anything like my laptop's keyboard, which is small (15" laptop), hands start to hurt at some point.
