OK, so my keyboard and mouse are both USB, so my BIOS option to wake from "PS2 keyboard" and "PS2 mouse" doesn't work.

(I have a Logitect g15 keyboard and a Logitech mx518 mouse)

How can I power on the PC without using the power button ? I can't find any other BIOS option that sounds useful.

Yes, I got to sleep and it's noisy. You new age always-running-PC junkies.

Why not use a USB to PS2 converter? It should work.

Heh, I forgot I had one of those adapters. Found one, but I set the option to "power on by PS/2 mouse" and it doesn't power on when I click the buttons. Wtf.

But at least I freed a USB port, lol, so I'm gonna leave it on the ps/2 port

Any other suggestions ?

Don't know what motherboard you have, but to make it work here I just had to change the BIOS option for Power on by keyboard to "keyboard 98".

note that keyboard usb-ps2 and mouse usb-ps2 adapters are NOT the same
i have my keyboard on ps2 through an adapter for just this reason.. i like booting up by just poking my keyboard

you should also see to windows device manager and the keyboard/mouse device, so that it's allowed to wake the machine
on some systems it is not allowed as default setting

My PC is always on, aside from scheduled tasks I've set to waken it, I have my PC set to power down into sleep state at 30mins.

I like awakening it to power back on in 5 seconds rather than wait for a complete system boot.
