So I bought Xbox One S and got free games (yeah I wanted cheap 4K bluray player and ability to play NHL after 10 years Very Happy ), so why not sell it via eBay, right?

Everything went well. I made a listing which clearly said that the item is only a download code, which will be delivered to the e-mail address used in paypal transaction...

As soon as I sent that fucking code, I recieved a PM in which that stupid american bitch request refund, because she changed her mind / didnt see that this is a game download code and she was expecting to get the game via mail. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Claiming I am zero rating misleading person... WADAFUCK - the listing had huge orange bold warning about delivery; also it was posted with checked magic box - no refunds possible.

All I see is a fucking fraud and intention to get the code for free and scam me...

So what should I expect when she decides to report me? First time using ebay. She still did not marked the item as delivered.

Ouch. I really miss the days when such human trash didn't discover the Internet yet. In, the early 2000's I sold hundreds of items through eBay and iBazar (Belgian equivalent) without a single problem. Whenever I try to buy or sell anything through eBay or 2dehands.be (current Belgian equivalent which is also owned by eBay) these days, there's always something going wrong because too many idiots sell or buy stuff.

But to answer your question: if they open a Paypal dispute, you may be screwed since Paypal tends to favour the buyer. And since a code can't really be returned since it's clear the bitch will just use it anyway, you may be screwed in this instance.

I have no Xbox One but does it activate the code as soon as you enter it? Or does it verify it first and then asks you to activate? Because if she tries to get it refunded, you could test it this way and then take a picture as proof that she already used it if it fails to activate.

I once had a similar discussion but I was on the buying side. I bought a brand new game (I believe it was a Guild Wars expansion) which had a cd key for online play that got tied to an account so you could only use it once. This was in 2008 or so. The seller sold it as "brand new, only used once" - since the game also had a single player part and didn't ask for the cd key until you tried to go online, it was well possible the key never got used so I asked the seller if the cd key was unused and he said it was.

When I received the game ... well you can guess by now that it HAD been used. The guy refused to refund claiming I had activated it myself. I went through Paypal, showed the emails as proof of me asking explicit confirmation and in the end, Paypal refunded the cost of the game - NOT the shipping which was like half the total price (I got it from the UK). So what I did was: I contacted the publisher of the game, showed them pictures of the box and manual (this was a pretty new game) and said someone had activated the key in the store when I bought it. They actually deactivated the account so I could register the key once more. Guess what happened next Laughing . The guy emailed me screaming at me saying I was a thief and a scammer, that I had gotten his account deactivated. So yeah, he clearly HAD tried to scam me and failed. He probably thought the refund wasn't that bad since he still could play the game online with his account until I got creative Laughing

well she is definitely gonna do something about this.. because she is not responding to my PMs... Afaik, she can report me after 30 days of "not receiving the item" - which she recieved 10 hours after the payment.

Well I got solid proofs, PMs, emails, original listing... So I really doubt it will do any harm to me. But still.... How stupid and fraudulent that american bitch is...

My American friends constantly complain about scammers on Craig's List and eBay - I mentioned this example to a friend yesterday and he said "yeah, selling digital stuff here in the US is like waving a flag to every scammer around".

My girlfriend often uses ebay and 2dehands.be, and the type of scam she encounters the most are fake paypal payment confirmation mails. Most of the time coming from France.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Trying to sell the winter wheels from my previous car on Ebay Ads.

Some days ago some woman seemed genuily interested in them. After some smalltalk and making up a date for the meeting i gave her my adress and phonenumber for Watsapp.

The cunt never appeared and also didn't reply anymore.
