Today was my first day as a dishwasher at this place in my city. It was awful, I started working early in the morning and got home not too long ago.

My knees hurt, my feet hurt, my back hurts. I'm tired and pissed because all day long this old dude who's been working in the kitchen there for the past 10 years was grinding my gears all day long with his bullshit.

I don't want to quit but I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow, 7 fucking hours of washing dishes, having an old, annoying Russian guy who was born in the fucking Soviet Union bitch about this and that.

I'm fine with the mess, I'm fine with the pay but I cannot fucking tolerate this guy and the fact that he keeps fucking interrupting me to tell me I'm "doing it wrong" when I'm doing JUST LIKE HE MOTHERFUCKING SHOWED ME!

Fucking hell the dishes never stop coming...THEY NEVER STOP COMING! Crying or Very sad

having a shitty job builds character. just don't make a career out of it.

I worked doing garbage pickup (from back of a truck) during uni ... I wanted to quit that fucking job everyday for about 2 weeks before I learned to tolerate it.

I had a similar feeling when filtering bacterial fragment micelles through cellulose membranes in a microbiology lab and this old perverted consultant kept telling me what I was doing wrong while rubbing his crotch.

It may as well have been dish washing considering how repetitive it was.

Well I won't go into the details but I once infected him with a mild pathogen, he had the shits for a week!

He always used to tell me how he was immune to infection because he had worked around microbes his whole life. So I thought I would put it to the test. Very Happy

we've all been there. I just used that shitty job to rustle up enough cash to put myself through driving lessons + save up some cash for a good comp to work on Smile I worked on a bar too for a couple of months while I was on a college course.

I HATED the bar work, since people piss me off when drunk, and dealing with 500 + drunken idiots every night drove me crazy in the small 4 month time I was there.

I've been working since I was 15, alongside school/uni, at various jobs. I can't remember one job I really liked. Work sucks, get used to it. There were days I was serving drunks for 12-14 hours. But once the paycheck comes in, it's all good.

Ya, those guys are like that. I noticed. They think because they have worked around the stuff and know it they are somehow immune. It is like some sort of power trip for them.

Haha, good way to teach humility. I like it. Just don't do it to me. I have (prob. wasn't teasted because there was no point) strep throat so I know my immunity sucks!

I would of thought a job like that you could just stick your ipod on and not have to listen to the twat whining all day?
