So, I'm bored, I want a good game to play, something recent with a good presentation and addictive.
It can be from any genre as long as it entertains!
Suggestions?

I'm guessing you've already finished the witcher but in case you didn't then give it a try |
Actually never played it.
The.Witcher.Enhanced.Edition-SKIDROW - is this version fine?

I actually haven't quite figured if you are joking or not
Anyway, GT hasn't got a review on it, I will install it and check it out, hope I'm not wasting my boredom time with something even more boring!

Witcher ought to keep you occupied for quite a while (the skidrow release is fine) - the combat may initially seem stupid but stick with it.
Anno 1404 has some sweet graphics and it's a nice timesink, you can spend hours making your city... Definitely not for everyone tho, you'll just have to try and see if you'll like it.

But yeah, can anybody recommend any business type of games? kind of like a simulator where you fiddle with stocks and so on, create a business. maybe a wierd genre but i'm really bored and want to try stuff out. |
I'm impatiently waiting for Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock 2 (which unfortunately was delayed), Batman Arkham Asylum, Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassins Creed 2.
Although it's undeniable that the wait for Modern Warfare 2 is more painful that all others combined.

They are, I like over polished games like the Call of Duty series, Crysis, Far Cry 2, that kind of graphics.
Graphics like those found in games like Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood or F.E.A.R 2 are a big turn off to me, the gameplay feels good and all, and F.E.A.R 2 has a really decent story, you can call me blasphemous, but I found those graphics really flat and average when compared to some other games.
Considering the great quality of those games in almost every other aspect, I believe that such an average presentation is a really annoying factor.

You can have your opinion, but yes, I'm not afraid to say that those 2 CoD games have well over 10x better presentation than Bound in Blood.
That's my perspective of it, I know some of you may disagree, but I cannot say that Bound in Blood graphics feel the least attractive to me.
In some aspects CoD even feels more real than Crysis itself, but that's a whole new discussion, obviously they are 2 very different games presentation wise, both of them gorgeous in their own right.

Perhaps you are mixing up between art style & direction and graphic capabilities of the engine. For instance, Prince of Persia vs. Crysis, no match between the engines, but some may prefer the way PoP looks vs. the boringly realistic Crysis (not my opinion on Crysis, just an example). On the other hand, CoD 4&5 use the same 4 year old engine from CoD2 with more bloom and a lower FOV to accommodate the additional shaders, while the Chrome Engine 4 is much more advanced, but you may not like the art direction the developers have taken. One think that I think is not that well done in CoJ-BiB is the horse riding animation.

If not: |
No I haven't, I was never into consoles.
I'm thinking of giving Cryostasis a try, I saw some reviews and screenshots and it looks great.
Anyone played it, is it any good?

That's exactly what I was trying to say, when you're playing a game, the thing you notice the most is the art direction, not how advanced the engine is, you may look upon the Unreal Engine, when applied to Unreal Tournament 3, it was horrible, to say the least, and the first Gears of War which is from the same year, is still one of the best looking games to this day.
I might give Bound in Blood a try for the horses alone, but what I've seen so far, is just a mediocre presentation.

So you haven't played it? I suggest you give it a go.
BTW, UT3 looks better than GoW. <3 (In all seriousness though, I didn't really like the visual style of Gears of War that much, grey grey grey)
