Has anyone seen this? Was checking the trailer earlier, but couldn't decide if it was a decent sci-fi show, or some teen drama crap.

That plot smells of 90's teen apocalypse series.

Sad thing is stuff like SGU, Caprica, defy gravity and such get cancelled (they weren't perfect and got canned after they got their quality up) and we get all this kind of shit popping up.
Nope now we get stuff like: Revolution, this, almost who'mon, and a lot of other stuff I just forget the names of. mm wait I forgot the stellar Defiance
/end rant

SGU was awesome. Sure it started out a bit slow (mostly character episodes) but in season 2 it really picked up and got even good rating.
Yeah, the joke about it was, that it wasn't cancelled for the ratings lol.

I really disagree. The show was simply terrible. I like character development, in my book, that's what made the Star Trek series so fantastic. SGU was pure drama. Had the characters mostly been female, it would have been Desperate Housewives in space.
I stopped in the middle of the second season, so it might have picked up after that, but there was nothing for me that even warranted shooting a second season.
Last time i was so disappointed with a show, was Star Trek Enterprise, which actually picked up just before it got cancelled

The stuff we get nowadays makes them feel like master pieces.

Fine. I will take one for the team.
But, I already know I will be regretting this.

I'm taking it for the team right now!
It has better ratings than Arrow.
It might turn out to be Battle Royale in future!
Spoiler: | Who am I kidding, lol |
OK. Live, spoilers
- so every cirme is punishable by death but only when you are older than 18
- otherwise you are sent to the brick
- where you can do full mascara apparently
- young prisoners are send to earth as canaries
- some teen reckless shit right know
- when you are entering atmosphere there is still zero G in the pod and you can float around
- until the parashutes kick in, because only than you have centrifugal force
- teen drama about guy being responsible for the execution of main protagonist's father
- "We're back, bitches" and Imagine Dragons song, you know the only one you know
- for a dystopian society that punish every crime with death they are pretty afraid for the "canaries"
- more teen drama with gangs forming between the kids :cringe:
- they have "landline" phones on the station -
- that surgery scene - no, just no...
- we have wrist bands that can monitor health and send the data but can't detect radiation levels...
- panties-ass scene for and wet titties for some nerd fappin' time
- the tremors water worm scene, with a guy that says he can't swim jumping into water and saving "the girl"
- some "Lord of Flies" shit
- the station are breaking down and can sustain so many people but it's a secret
- the wrist bands that monitor health can be reverse-engineered to enable communication - why I haven't think about it when I designed them moment
- more teen shit, annoying guy dies killed by apparently a predator
-end
Yep it's shit. The promo for next episodes show more Lord of Flies shit and aliens or hightech survivors (some kind of purple flying ships).

first episode ratings are hardly a valid measurement stick ^^.
Anyway, i watched it, it's "yet another teen drama". Nothing more.
