my old shitty lexmark kicked the bucket yesterday, so it's time for new hardware!

and honestly, i know exactly jack shit about which printers or brands are good atm.

i don't need those little extras like wlan, lcd display, card reader. also no AIO stuff, already got a decent scanner. speed isn't that important, i could care less if it takes 5 minutes or more per page.

what counts is print quality, ink efficiency and it has to eat everything up to 2-300g/m² and CDs, since i'm often updating my portfolio and doing quite a lot of corporate design stuff for local clients, so i have to quickly dish out prototypes or stuff in small numbers from time to time (yes, i could also do that at a print shop, but i hate running around for a few pages, plus i still suck a little at prepress Laughing , so i like do do it myself for now and learn by doing)

nice design would definitely be a plus, but at the end of the day - who cares if it's fugly as long as it does its job and fits under my desk where no one can see it Very Happy
