cant for the life o me, find such a function OR keyboard shortcut, to do this in powerdvd - anyone know how to do it?

Try config-video and uncheck 'enable hardware acceleration'.

can mpc ht play bluray discs ok (and output the uncompressed audio)? I get a 'cannot render video' error ... haven't tried messing with the codecs it tries to load yet...

well mpc ht doesnt even detect my blu-ray disc - hell, i cant even SEE it in explorer.. powerdvd doesnt seem to have a problem reading em
firmware update for the drive perhaps? or a win update? im still using xp, maybe xp is allergic to blu-ray? this is why i hate tight ass protection crap, it causes me all sorts of grief when i legitimately buy em, but never had a problem with my downloaded ones...

yeah, I don't have any issues with powerdvd in vista, just wanted to use the same program for everything (mkv/dvds etc). everything is supposed to be hdcp compliant as well.
