So, going to build my Morrowind mod library again for a replay (have to remember to backup to a physical media this time.. ) and since it's such a major pain to manually clickety-click and download all the countless mods I'll want , I was wondering if anyone knows of any app or FF extension that'd help with that?
The following process isn't something I'm particularly looking forward to repeating hundreds of times:
Click mod's name from search/top list, click download link to go to fileplanet, click to pick a free server to download from, and finally click again to confirm download from the pop-up window. Such a fucking hassle.
I use Down Them All, and it worked with Fileplanet.
Haven't used DTA in a while, but I don't think it'd lower the amount of steps required to get to each file? I don't need a download manager per se, since most of the files are relatively small and Download Statusbar auto-clears the finished dl's.
@tainted:
now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing something like that as well. Must investigate further!
Just scroll down a bit and you'll see the file download link. Click on that and it goes to Fileplanet page, from where you have to first pick a server, and then click "Click here to begin download" from the pop-up window.
With DTA you'll still have to manually reach that pop-up window to get to the file, no? It's the amount of steps needed I'm trying to reduce, since it really is a pain when you're downloading literally hundreds of files.
Found that Fileplanet Download Manager btw but it seems like a bust: has stupid limitations for free accounts (1 download at a time and queueing up to only 3 files = fail) and doesn't even seem to work on Vista 64 & FF 3.0.10.
