Well, I'd agree with moosenoodles on any console port these days, but considering this is Crysis, it is kinda silly.

Why is it silly? phluxed think about it for a min, technology is supposed to improve things not keep them at the same frame rate as 1990 was you know? (over exagerated to make a point) same old bullshit of keeping the user/buyer buying...
30 fps in crisis is rediculous period...30 is by no means fun in any pc game for the most part either., im guessing we should all be seing at least 60fps as min these days to match standard 60hhz refresh rates.. So i dont think its dumb it maybe out of reach still but its not dumb AT ALL.

Good luck achieving 60fps on 1920x1080 in Crysis.

Mostly because the engine is clearly not optimized well at all. Look at the CryEngine 3 videos, same graphics as Crysis, but running on the fucking 360 and PS3, while hardware much more advanced than that struggles to run CE2 Crysis (and Warhead) even on the 720p resolution. Something is fishy.
But that doesn't change the fact that 30fps on 1080p 2xAA is a nice accomplishment.

my point lol, its not fun for a high end gfx game like that to be 30fps its just horrid, we all play it cause we can at 30fps but really come on lets not beat around the fracking bush, its much more enjoyable at at least 40+ frames.. those 10 do make a diff from 30 to 40..
As u said leo, shoddy optimization..

It's no mystery that it's much easier to optimise code when the hardware is a constant.
