Can anyone recommend some HD's,

Now in the past ive had all makes/models and even obscure manufactures of HD's but i don't seem to have much luck with either performance or even longevity of the drives.

Now i've not purchased any drives for about 2 years, i have some Nikimi drives atm, and they have served me very well, never had a fault and never let me down. But sadly they are coming to the end of their life and are really the biggest bottleneck i have in my current computer.

So with that in mind, im looking for some nice storage space 1TB+ and i've read horror story's of people buying the latest drives and them going poof in about 2 months, with my current work i cant afford to be replacing drives on a regular basis or going backwards & forwards with returns.

So any recommendations and suggestions would be much apprecaited.

samsung spinpoint f1 1TB

cheap, silent, fast - i've got 2 of them running (almost) 24/7 for about 1,5 years now and never had any problems. don't go over 1TB, prices for bigger drives are ridiculous atm.

WD black or green, black has 5 years warranty and green has 3 years warranty..WD makes reliable hdd, look up some reviews

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284
with 915 reviews, it has roughly 80% rating 5/5..and that is pretty good for a hard drive
I just got a WD green for $85 shipped, should get here soon!

My 640GB drive is a Spinpoint F1 - and, like the rest of the F1 series, it's got nothing but rave reviews. From my own personal experience? I plan on buying more of them in the next month or two. Ludicrously fast (90-130MB/s write), whisper quiet, low temperature and the price is excellent too.
