2nd time this has fucking happened to me.
I changed my room around so naturally I had to unplug my computer, get my shit moved around, now when I start my computer back up theres no sound, my card isnt being read, the sound application GUI like the equalizer and shit all say it's imcompatible with my device even though it's the fucking driver disk FOR the card.
Reinstall drivers, I have sound again but the fucking software for setting the speakers up correctly, equilizer and shit all still say they don't support the device.
Last time this fucking happened it started working a week later.
What the fuck is wrong with this!?

its a POS they suck balls, I stopped buying there products after my last similar issue. Sell that shit on ebay and buy something else imo

ya i finally got it working, and all their lil speaker calibration apps actually work, without crashing, there was always 1 random one every time I resintalled that wouldn't work.
I'd buy another one but i want the razer barracuda which isn't easy to find not sure who else makes good sound cards, I was thinking about those asus ones but asus + drivers are a pain in the ass and their quality has been hitting shit lately.

creative is the biggest shithole in the mankind
they deliberately shut down many features of audigy cars under vista, etc. they overall release driver packs that are bloatware and adware all in together
if u want x-fi, get one by auzentech

Its not Creative blame Microsoft for the new sound system implemented with Vista. But they are lazy creative for not releasing drivers that are fully compatible, which they did so people would be forced to buy X-Fi cards instead.

You mean you are lucky you are not on vista.
Ive stopped using sound cards and use just the built in mobo sound. Play music all the time/games and never have sound complaints. WOnt bother buying another sound card again

AC97 or whatever is horrible fucking sound, which my MB has, it's a socket 939 system so it's got some age piling on it  |

I got Realtek Audio from my intel P35 chipset. No complaints.
