Gidday
im looking into a new PSU and have been checking out reviews on corsair.
the Corsair TX750W looks like a good one although i saw a 620W model that has 3 12V rails and the 750 only has one.. what does the number of +12v rails effect?
if you have any other PSU to suggeust ill be glad to hear.

cheers

Oh, how much were u willing to spend then? Psu's are fickle I always go for a top end one if possible due to seeing many antec ones and various others not last the time they should..

This one has lifetime warranty and doesnt make a sound.. think they are on ebay in usa for $240 or so.. pricey i guess still, although maybe with some searching you might find a good deal...

its to do with the amps allowed or more rightly sudgested on one 12v rail.. 20amps is normaly the standard these days but 30amps is asked for alot of times by gfx card manufacturing sorts..

You will notice some cards take 2 connections for this.. High end cards now are getting better by reducing the need for such and some are on single connections again now..

spreading the load amongst the rest of your hardware on diff rails is the way to go so your more unable to blow or pop things under stress drawing ampage..

pc power & cooling, no one builds them like they do, each one tested, 5+ year warranty, sustained power, they rate their PSU's after they've heated up a bit.

Try to comare some PSU's PC&C is the only one that gives you the real watts, thermaltake for instance says their shit is 700watts, ya, 700 watts when it's shut off
