There's only chinese and japanese subs atm, but eng subs shouldn't take long to be released, this movie received an academy oscar and a whole lot of awards, a must see indeed.
Yep, I just saw it without subs as well, and damn it was great. It's been quite a while since I last saw a really great Japanese movie. This one really stands out!
I wish there were English subs, I want my friends to see it as well, but they don't know any Japanese. :/

This movie is really good indeed (and the music is god like), but I got to be honest here, even with the awareness that this movie is one of the greatest Japanese movies of all time, there are several other Japanese movies much better than this one that were never even nominated for an academy award, so I got to ask the question, did the academy discovered Japanese art only in 2008? cause this year Japan went home with 2 oscars, one for Departures and another for the animated short film of Kunio Kato which I haven't seen yet.
