u talking about memory chips, 360 needs something to cool them down and pressure them to the board, to spare yourself another openning do the penny trick instead of placing sticky pads back, google for it

I'm having another problem now ffs.
I'ver taken it apart, repasted the chips, overheated it, but constantly I'm getting the 3 red lights?
LLast night it worked, the computer come back on, but then froze after 10 mins?
Since then, I've respasted the chips triued again but nothing, constantly 3 red lights???
What am i doing wrong?
Hope someone can help me out here please?

did you do a x-clamp? if not, do it now. if yes, try loosening the screws a bit.

How do i loosen them?
I thought you can tighten or loosen them as they only go to a certain tightness?
Plus, when I'm overheating the xbox once I've re-done the paste, do i have to let the 360 MANUALLY turn itself off once the 2 lights come on or, do i turn the 360 off once the 2 lights come on?
It just doesn't seem to be working at all on my mates 360 this?
Worked 1st time on mine.
