Anyone know any good software to do this? I used PhotoRec but its kind of crappy. Hopefully there is better software for this.

http://www.recuva.com/ Freeware and recovers files. Take that for a spin and if it doesn't work, I'll give you another one.

you don't need specific flash or floppy or hard drive or whatever media data recovery software. You need specific partition recovery software.
