I always used acronis true image, but had some problems with it. I then went on a search for another program and found paragon backup drive pro 9.0
But I'm not satisfied.

What I need:

be able to create an incremental backup of a full partition and be able to schedule it to run once a day on system startup
be able to create an incremental backup of specified files and folders and be able to schedule them also to run once a day. (paragon doesn't do this, plus the file backup is slow as hell)

Acronis freezes to often on my vista 64 bit...

vista has it's own scheduled back up app, whats' wrong with it

have you tried norton ghost? acronis and norton ghost are the top two used if I remember correctly

You can't go wrong with ghost. Ghost is one very simple to use and very fast.
