Moon

Plot :
Quote:
Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He's been a faithful employee for 3 long years. His home has been Sarang, a moon base where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The precious gas holds the key to reversing the Earth's energy crisis.

Isolated, determined and steadfast, Sam has followed the rulebook obediently and his time on the moon has been enlightening, but uneventful. The solitude has given him time to reflect on the mistakes of his past and work on his raging temper. He does his job mechanically, and spends most of his available time dreaming of his imminent return to Earth, to his wife, young daughter and an early retirement.

But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Sarang, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things and feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him and the new recruit is eerily familiar.

Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It's more than his contract that is set to expire.

Staring :
Sam Rockwell as Sam Bell
Kevin Spacey as Gurdy (voice)

Directed by :
Duncan Jones (son of David Bowie)

Looks good. At the very least maybe some people will want to see 2001 a space odyssey for the first time. If you haven't seen the bluray do it! Amazing, awe inspiring film.

Screw all reviewers, its a general rule I follow when it comes to movies, music, books, games etc... exception are apps and hardware cause here reviews are usually to the point and are a constatation of facts followed by an argumentation.

Movies, music etc... I want to experience it myself, and I don't want to read someone else experience / feelings and try to correlate them to mine own. And the way most reviews are written today by the time you read half of it the whole movie would be spoilered already.

Moon... Yes, I am hyped about it - bad sign... bad Crying or Very sad I did read only synopsis, viewed images and watched awesome trailer and from this point I imagine the movie would be slow-paced visual experience with 2001 at the beginning, shining at the middle and a little bit of sunshine at the end Very Happy

As for release date, being an indie movie I fear it would be a very limited theater release and movie might be straight to DVD / bluray.

So what's the deal with this one? Isn't it going to be released in other countries, like Sweden for instance? I checked the wiki link, only mentions UK, US and Sundance...

This well reviewed I can't see it not being released everywhere but I'm afraid it could take a while and we'll see it on DVD first :/ By that I mean it will be released as DVD in the US before it hits european cinemas.
