The last episode of CSI, the one Laurence Fishborne joins the cast, was pretty good for a CSI, and it appears it will be multiepisode arch. And it involves serial killers.

Natural Born Killers is a great fuckin movie. Watched it yesterday (for the millionth time). Awesome movie.
As for CSI....CSI SUCKS!!! Its completely hoaky and cheesy and every other word you can use to describe something thats a POS.
And they fact that they try to make it all dramatic and serious is what ruins it.
If they did it like SG, then it wouldnt be as bad. Cuz you know its not serious and its meant to be taken tounge in cheek right? But they try so hard to be serious.
Like honestly. They find a microfiber of a glove on a dog, who was walking a block away from a murder, who had been at a chicks house and the chick had a pube of some guy she fucked on her carpet, which leads them to the guy, they bring him in and he confesses... Id laugh my ass off if a cop dragged me in for some bullshit like that.
And what kills me is they ALWAYS confess. Like how stupid are these murderers and rapists? Idiots.
And then there are the dna shit. They find some dna on a rape victim. So they send it to that lab they have and in like 2 hours, the guy has the dna match to some dude who lives on the other side of the US who committed a rape 20 years ago (before they had that library of sex offenders) and they go get him and...wait for the big finale....HE CONFESSES!!
Not to mention the ridiculously stupid, idiotic one liners they use. Like they find a dead body, a cop says something to that lead character guy and he says something like "Well John, it seems someone likes to kill cereal" then the music "dun na nun na!"......the whole show is fuckin retard.
Whether its CSI, CSI:NY and the king of them all, CSI:Miami
3 stupidest shows on television. Not to mention every show is basically the same fuckin thing. They find a dead body(S), they send dna and micro fibres back to the lab, the cop guys do a tiny bit of investigating, they go back to lab, the lab guy determines who it was, they arrest him and bring him in and he confesses.....
How many shows can you make with the exact same plot? Might aswell use the same dead ppl and shit cuz fuck, every show is the exact same
Sorry for the rant, but I despise CSI with so much hate....I cant wait till its off the air. Cant wait.
Even my mom, who watch REAL forensic shows (like on A&E or something) wont watch csi.
To make a positive DNA match takes MINIMUM 2 weeks...usually a month.
The ppl on CSI do it in the span of a day or 2....
Anyway, I could go on for another 2 hours pointing out all the wrong things in the show...but you guys get the gist.

I generally hate CSI, but the last episode was done brilliantly, with an (IMO) emmy worthy performance by the actor who the serial killer. And Fishborne is fun to watch as well.

Well you have all the other idiots around Fishborne that will still probably make the same "witty" stuff lol. Just the last episode and the 2-3 following arch were very dark and interesting. CSI usually has lighter episodes, nothing is ever serious - they'll just make 2-3 witty comments and the perp will confess...

if they cut out the cheesy lines and the 30 sec dna matches they find in a microfibre of a pubic hair they found on a dog a block from the crime scene, then it wouldnt be bad.
But until they get realistic with the fuckin dna stuff, it sucks. Like they could bring in a sample of dna of a suspect and then be like "2 weeks later" and then solve the case. That would be more real ya know? |

Realistic = Yawn in most cases, so there still is some place to speed things up, etc. But when you have people in CSI Miami using tech from Minority Report, you know something's wrong...
The thing that gets the most, thought, is how they always manage to enlarge photos and zoom in on anything, even VHS tapes etc. They even can zoom in on reflections and then see clear images. Next thing you know, they'll zoom in on someone's glasses, where a man is standing. They'll zoom in to that man's eye reflection and see the killer! And of course, when they show him the photo, he'll just confess how angry he was and how right it was to have that person killed.

I think i read an article a couple of years ago about crimelabs complaining about shows like CSI because they show all the techniques they use and ways to avoid them. They were saying that the % of perps using gloves, bleaches etc increased by alot after those kinds of show appeared. So i guess they changed the scripts to show that no matter what you do CSI will find out your full name, adress, social security number and what you ate for dinner in 30 seconds by analyzing a 3 year old spit.

I read other articles in which the complaints were actually about the too high tech stuff they use, and how that makes juries and judges have unreasonable expectations.
