The point was that strong background noise, like the one in the video, could influence and/or interfere with the activity of the HDs.

I thought that was given....I mean, anyone who's worked in a shop would know that. Thats why usually the ppl in the office have some kinda noise dampening/sound proofing on the doors or whatever.
