When logging into the forum to change settings it loads SERIOUSLY slow like it's a dial up internet trying to load ebay. Once in a blue moon it'll load quick but should not be this slow. It's hooked up via wires, nothing downloading so theres no excuse.

Also does anyone know any extremely good firmware to replace the stock stuff?

Have you tried updating to the latest official firmware? That router is notorious for having issues that's why I see it on craigslist 24/7. Laughing

I almost bought this, but found the GL version with a slightly higher price, but way worth it. Basically the GL runs with a Linux kernel and is generally faster and more modable.

SpykeZ, try this:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/index.php

It's a custom firmware (not by Linksys) and is generally recommended. Now, the problem is, because you have a G version of the router, there are a million and a half versions of the G, so you have to know exactly what version you have.

Yeah, the GL is the one to get from the (aging) WRT54 series.
