					| Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

  	  | Quote: | | A trailer released at E3 shows a military operation originating in Latveria, home of master villain Doctor Doom. [3] "The story starts with Secret War. We're using Nick Fury's invasion of Latveria as a jumping off point. The rest of the story is derived from the consequences of those actions," states Dan Tanguay, creative director for Vicarious Visions.[2]

The game will then follow the Civil War story arc: a fight between heroes and villains causes an explosion in Stamford, Connecticut. Killing 600 civilians (including a number of school children), the government labels this "Super Powered Negligence", and the public demand a Super Hero Registration Act. The government passes the act, and all meta-humans are forced to adhere to or disobey the law. In the game, players are able to choose between the Pro-Registration side headed by Iron Man and Mister Fantastic, or the Anti-Registration side, lead by Captain America and Luke Cage (these four characters are unlocked into specific sides) and work together again and finding Nick Fury. All other heroes are playable on either side of the conflict, with some non-playable characters having determined their side.[5] Multiple endings are available, and are determined by the side chosen at the beginning of the game.

I almost threw up when I saw raven software wasn't on this again. The current developer isn't exactly....good...they made most of their shit on the fucking gameboy advanced and some "other projects" mostly what I call, kiddy games, and now they're doing one of the most wanted fucking sequels ever? They fuck this up their going to end up like the damnation crew...

seriously, how the fuck do you go from ravensoftware to these knobs

					| Hmm they are using the comic book storyline. Vicarious VIsions isn't so bad... they did make some fairly decent spidey games

1 and 2 are still amazing.

					| I think that whole pre-order thing, especially for Hulk and Thor, is because the game follows the Civil War storyline. In the actual storyline, neither of them actually take part at all and are not seen even in the least throughout. I wouldn't be surprised if there was still a way to unlock them though.

As for MUA2; reading more about it, I'm suddenly not so disappointed about the butt-fucking we've received. Turns out a large chunk of the characters can only be had via pre-orders from certain retailers -- and each retailer offers a different character in their pre-order.

IE; Pre-order from Gamestop and unlock Juggernaut. Pre-order from Game and get Thor. HMV are doing unlock codes for Hulk when pre-ordered too.(just examples)

It's fucking bullshit! Now they're not only making us pay for the game, but also cutting out characters depending on where you buy the game from - and only if you pre-order it!! WTFH!?
 |

They will most likely sell those characters via xbox live, so you can have them all if you wish

					| It seems Juggernaut is already for sale on PSN for $2 so it seems like the rest will show up eventually. At least they are not trying to withhold one of the bigger heroes like Spider-Man or Wolverine for this pre-order BS as you would have seen lots of angry posts about them nickel and diming stuff to get more money from the players.

Mate, my fiance doesn't even PLAY Ultimate Alliance - and even she is fucking livid at this. She, like many of us, detests the "micro-transaction" bullshit and it drives her nuts. She's always saying how this practice should be illegal, how it's morally disgusting to sell a game for full price - then make additional micro-charges for content that should have been in the game in the first place.
