I've pretty much played them all, the known ones anyways. Curious if theres any I missed.

Hellgate london (own it) Sacred II (own it) Sacred, Titan Quest, Loki, Dungeon Siege 1/2, The Diablo's

and I might have over looked and worth playing?

^ Yes there is but he asked for good ones. I wouldn't exactly call space siege good ( not even close to i). But you might wanna try it out anyway, maybe OP will like it a bit more than I did.

Legend - Hand of God (not perfect, but worth trying if you liked TQ and Loki)
Bard's Tale
Silverfall & addon
Divine Divinity & Beyond Divinity
Nox
Darkstone
Revenant

All of above are diablo-like h'n's. If you want something a bit different you should try Gothic or Icewind Dale series - there's lots of action there too. Dungeon Lords also if you're quite desperate...

Almost all the action rpg's are complete crap, really you're better off waiting for Diablo III, or if you really need something to pass the time, get Eastern Sun or Median XL (release due very soon) mods for Diablo II.

You pretty much played all of the good ones except Divine Divinity. If you're into 3D RPG's Gothic 2 with the expansion (a huge patch of sorts) is a must.

ya and it was a pile of crap lol

icewind dale etc isn't ARPG lol, I started RPG's with baldur's gate II though Smile

Gothic I'll have to pass on. Silverfall....was a huge joke.

Installed that last night, it's more a straight up RPG than it is action. Too much dialogue.

Divine divinity is the only contender then, unless you want to go way back. There's Beyond Divinity too, but that's pretty much DD 0,75. More of the same, but somehow worse. BD is the sequel btw.

silverfall wasnt all that bad. I finished it (not expansion) and it was entertaining.

And maybe a bit less A and more RPG , Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

I tried silverfall twice, and the map, inventory system etc was just horrific. So unless they changed it all in patches, I'll be passing.

It's not your normal hack n slash. It's more about exploring. The combat can be fun but, they really didn't pay much attention to the details on it, mainly the enemies, which 60% of them seems to be rats, at least so far.

If you liked the first sacred you should like this one too. The classes are fun, the skill tree's are done pretty well, and the scenery really brings you in. The inquisitor is such a brutal bad ass once you start getting his skills up. I can take on hordes and massacre them.

I personally enjoy it, the MP still seems, boring but that's cause it hasn't been released in the states yet and I bought the UK edition. I personally would recommend it to those who like action rpg's. The character creation skills, theres A LOT. Making spell casters is a lot of fun but hard work, like it should be, while the warrior is, up in the face butt kicking.

The only thing I can say that I don't like so far is the amount of bugs. BUT, if your on the forums you'll quickly notice that most of the developers are paying attention and even posting a lot. Their working hard, it's very playable and I enjoy it so I would say go for it. It's the best theres going to be till DIII arrives
=================================

Whats divine divinity's skill tree and character classes like?

Wow, I said ARPG. The A stands for ACTION. Meaning not fable, not vampire bloodlines, not spellforce, summoner.

I hate making these kinds of topics because after about the 4th good recommendation everyone just starts throwing games out there. What's next, someone going to tell me try need for speed?

'Restricted Area' and 'Seal of Evil' are ok if you like the themes (cyberpunk, and chinese myth). Nothing special, though. 'Throne of Darkness' (japanese mythology theme) was a pretty good effort at a Diablo clone - looks old now.

Divine Divinity has the most amazing atmosphere. It's what Diablo II should have been.

nah, don't try need for speed.

the rpg part is barely developed and it consists of some lame upgrades (no cool loot here).
the action part is too repetitive, it feels like you're going through the same identical levels over and over(which consists of completely linear stretches of road). the quests are also boring(same objective every time, bypass other npcs).
there are no cool monsters, all the enemies are human, which makes it feel stale after a while.

on the plus side it drops the dungeon raiding and most of the game takes part on the surface and it manages to avoid the standard save-the-world story.

there's no standard leveling here, so it gets some points for doing things a bit differently than most rpgs, but taking all things into account, i can't really recommend this.

i say pass on it.

You could try Kult Heretic kingdoms (aka Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition).
