|
 |
Ok so i have alittle extra money these days and i'm thinking of upgrading my GFX. At the moment i have a 9800 GTX and im debating if i should get a 280GT or hold off untill Nvida push out the next series of Geforce cards. I've looked at some charts and i notice the 280GT really surpasses the 9800 GTX at 1920x1080 and other hi-res's. Since i tend to play most games, apart from Crysis at this res it makes sense. Still i dont want to shell out for the 280GT if there's another gen around the corner.
Opinions?

No there's always another gen down the road, not around the corner. Meaning i don't want to get a card just as a new series launches.

You must be an nvidia man if you thought the 9 series was ever worth buying into

It was an a required buy. 8800GTS died so it was the best budget vs performance card at the time.
Anyway more opinions welcome. Also so if anyone has the card a mini review would be nice.

I had a 280GTX for maybe 2 days. If I were to pick anything available right now it would be a 280GTX and OC it like crazy. Im not a fan of dual GPU setups and if you've ever played with one and are really anal you'd notice the "Microstuttering" that's been mentioned often.
I still consider the 280GTX the king on the market right now.
