My precious car, a VW GOLF 2 '88 Smile got stolen this morning. I know it is old but still, it worked like a charm. I had a lot of good memories with this car. Now I have to drive my bike.

In my country 99% of all cars that got stolen are from the VW concern, so AUDI, SEAT, ŠKODA are included. After VW comes Mercedes Benz.

50% of all cars that got stolen are GOLF 2 because they are easy to break, and it's well known that here is every 5th car a GOLF.

I've had probably 15-20 cars in the 4 years I've had my license, 7 of which have been broken into and 1 that's been stolen. Not a good idea to buy cars that are on the top 20 list for highest insurance rates/highest theft rates.

Pager Alarm + Shock Sensors and a well hidden brain = theft no more. Laughing

EDIT: Yeah that's probably why it was stolen. So is your insruance gonna take care of it?

I had a yellow Integra-R stolen out of my garage and when the police came to do a report, they were suspicious as to why I wasn't upset about my car being stolen. They thought I was trying to pull off some insurance fraud because the amount I'd have to be compensated was almost enough to drive a new BMW off the dealership lot.

The Insurance will not pay anything. My insurance will cover only if I damage other cars.

...and no, it couldn't happened anywhere. Even tho USA got about 300mill people afaik. And the car theft per capita is much higher than in for example any country in Scandinavia.

German cars are overated in Balkanian area. ( probably couse of TAS - scarfacew3 you know what i mean lol)
I bought myself a Skoda Octavia wag 1.9 TD.
It is a reaible and cheap to have it, and almost all parts are practicaly from VW Passat ( just puted together in Czechia )
It has german quality for lower price.
Highly recomended !
But that is just my opinion....

Arnt Skodas basically VWs. I had a 1.8T Skoda as a rental car in Spain and it was (or seemed) identical to a Jetta. Great little car.

Sry your car got stolen. Is theft insurance crazy expensive where you live. I have theft insurance on all my vehicles, and its cheap cheap.

I never asked my insurance company how much the theft insurance cost because I know that it is a lot because we have a lot car thieves here, it's the Balkan LOL, the "wild west".

I got a puncture in my rear tyre, a big ass nail right through the damn thing.. gonna cost me £70 for a new one fitted..
