Official forums

And best of all, Project V13, the "unannounced post-apocalyptic Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" has added Chris Taylor and Jason Anderson to the dev team, familiar names for any Fallout fan. Wink

More info about Project V13 here http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Project_V13_FAQ

After WoW I'm not so keen to touch an MMO ever again, but a Fallout MMO, with some of the original devs on board? Omfg.

that's a mmo i can get excited about!
but let's see what they do with that - i mean, it has to be hard to bring the dark humour and the moral ambiguity of an single player rpg into an mmorpg
but then again if it looks to be fun, I'm all for it ^^
and i'm definetly gonna sign up for the beta when it comes Very Happy

according to inz link they are:
Quote:
Wait, wasn't Interplay dead by now?
After selling many of their assets, including the Fallout franchise, Interplay seems to have risen from the dead again. Among other projects Interplay has said it wants to develop are sequels to Earthworm Jim, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Descent, and MDK, provided it can find the financing

earthworm jim and MDK sequels? awesomeness as well my friends, awesomness as well....
although i'm, at least secretly, still pissed about them selling the fallout franchise... no point in crying about something that can't be changed anymore.
on the other hand, think about interplay buying back the fallout franchise from bethesda O.o
nah, ok, that's wishful thinking.

but a fallout mmo would put a whole new angle on that good vs. evil thingie that most mmorpgs got going on - I'm neither good nor evil - I'm whatever freaking feel like!! Very Happy

Why the excitement? Unless they can get back the talent they lost (I highly doubt they'll be able to), I don't see how this can be a great thing.

Screens?
http://worthplaying.com/article/2009/11/15/news/70232/images/

Kinda looks like Fallout 3 with a cartoon style overlay. Razz
(Well not really, hard to describe perhaps?)

ahahahaha! Oh man... that's it?? That's what Interplay has been working on!? I guess it's true; the Interplay we knew and loved is long, long, long gone. This is the progress they've made? Ouch, looks like Bethesda may just win this whole court case row afterall, end up with total rights to the FO franchise.

I wouldn't critiscize the game over those screens, as I'm sure it haven't even reached alpha stage yet. They just showed some screens to prove that they are actually working on something.

These screenshots were actually submitted by Interplay as court evidence to show that the game is in full production already.

That's my point exactly, mate. They're embroiled in a court case right now, fighting to keep the rights to Fallout and prove they're actually doing SOMETHING - as per their contract stipulates - and THIS is the best they can come up? Fuck me, I could knock something up 10x better than that in the UDK (or even Hammer/Worldcraft Laughing) and I don't know jack shit about coding >_>

Well, do you want them wasting time on making pretty graphics for some screenshots, or spend time working on the actual game itself?

We'll we will probably see how it progresses once more media starts being distributed as the game progresses and gets closer to a possible release date, from the early screens though it looks very similar to Fallout 3 in style but Fallout 3 took much from Van Buren (What might have been Fallout 3 initially.) which this game also appears to do.
(Albeit a bit more "cartoon" themed in terms of visual artisitic style or how to say.)

Damn, I'm sorry... I forgot we're still living in the age of text-adventures, where graphics aren't actually PART of videogames yet.

How stupid of me! Rolling Eyes

It's not like it's going to look like that when (if) it comes out. MMOs always look considerably better when released.

True enough and I don't dispute that, but when you're battling to keep the rights to a franchise because you've been accused of squandering them -- you'd *think* that you'd put more effort into showing some progress. A couple of laughably poor mock ups doesn't exactly inspire confidence, does it?
