I really can't explain my taste other than im pickier than shit. I'm not flashing my 360 cause im all for supporting companies who make good games, so if it's good, I buy it, not going to go through all this trouble to play games i don't find worth buying.
As of now i bought Enchanted Arms (haven't touched it yet since GTA has been taking over my 360, was told it's fun)
Ace Combat 6 (can't read shit so waiting till my VGA cable gets here to hook it up to my monitor)
Crackdown (love it but...seems to be getting boring, half done on the 2nd island)
And obviously GTA IV
I plan on buying Kameo, Dead Rising and Ninja Gaiden II, Fight Night Round III and Army of Two
I tried armored core 4 and it sucks dick. And if it's on PC chances are I already played it. And I absolutely LOVE rpg's. Might try mass effect again since i didn't give it much a chance on PC

If you love RPGs (yessss!!!) then you simply cannot go wrong with Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Both of those games come from the original masters of Squaresoft who have founded their own company. Lost Odyssey is everything FFXII should have been and Blue Dragon is just an epic, fun, RPG.
As for other RPGs, it depends on what STYLE. I personally *love* Phantasy Star Universe, Too Human, Kingdom under Fire and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Havent flashed it either.
Last gen made me waste billions of dvd-r. Most I tried for 15 minutes. At least I gave most of them away to my nephew.
Now I only buy A+ titles. There aint so many, so I can afford that (actually the games are cheaper today than they were for snes!). If I would cope with B+ titles I would flash it.
This years high peak - the fall/xmas season - I´ll probably end up with only 3 games. Gears2, Fable2 and Fallout3. Last two I´ll even await some reviews of first. Shit I forgot Left 4 Dead, Far cry2. Ok that is max 5 then. I don´t count GTA dlc.
Also LIVE gives me plenty of hours of fun and I don´t want to risk it.
I´m getting more and more tempted to flash it though. Most likely that time will come.

Agreed. Army of Two was horrific .. my personal recommendation goes, instead, to Condemned 2. You won't find that on the PC so console is your only option -- and it's excellent.
Also, if you like the idea of Army of Two, then wait a week and you'll have Mercenaries 2 coming!

I'm a huge NG fan, but the sequel really disappointed me. It was great, but after some levels you realize you're just doing the same shit over and over again. Atleast NG1 had a sense of exploration and variation. In NG2 you're just killing the same mob over and over again. I don't know if it's worth the money, but DMC4 is worth the buy over NG2 if you're planning to spend money on it anyway. I had never played a Devil May Cry game before and I was blown away by the character of the game and the fun combat. So I'd say, go for DMC4 instead of NG2.
If you like RPG's, you didn't go wrong with the Xbox. Several weeks ago I've read an article listing all the upcoming console RPG's and grouping those according to potential. The Xbox is definately the console to buy for RPG's this generation.

Is Saint's Row still worth the buy now that GTA4 is here? I was thinking of buying it, but will it feel like a huge step down from GTA4?

YES!
A lot of GTA4's "innovations" came from Saints Row .. but don't let it put you off if you've already played GTA4, they're both excellent games. The sequel is due soon too, so it's probably best to wait for SR2 if you're concerned about the "water down" effect of returning to SR1 after playing GTA4.

Dead Rising is a must, it's a great and a very different game.
It was given a lot of stick due to the strange save-system, but I really liked it. Kept you on your toes all the time, you always had to think about what you were doing.
Army of Two is the other game of those you've mentioned that I've had, and I'd give it a miss if I were you. It's not as bad as people make out, but it's just very average.
As for Ninja Gaiden II, I'm waiting til I can find it on the cheap.
If you like RPGs, Lost Oddysey and Mass Effect are must haves from what I've heard.

He should get gears and prepare for number 2. That game can´t hurt his wallet too much. | i played through most of gears on PC and it's pretty damn lame. I was never into the hyper for it and still don't see what any good review was about. The lack of a real damage system, pray & spray and hide behind a wall till zeus decides you should have full health again gave it a real stinker for me.
Mass Effect was boring as shit on PC, but then again when playing PC games I have very high standards, maybe it'll be better on console.
Army of Two i was getting so me and a buddy have a game to co-op in and the fact me and him are exactly like those two guys...me being the small bitch of the two lol

Mass Effect is pretty much the best RPG you'll get these days, including the PC. It's simplistic and easy true, but I doubt we'll get a good traditional RPG in the future.
