Konami plan to do a remake for this old arcade title on the PS3 and release it over PSN in November with full 8 player multiplayer support, improved graphics, new tracks, cars (etc) and support for the PS-eye.
I don't know whether anyone here actually remembers GTI Club? It was a lot of fun in link-up mode, so if they at least get that part right it should be a laugh - the battle modes especially. Ambience was weirdly realistic but gameplay was quite the opposite, something like midtown madness I guess. Could be good.

I remember it! It was a Mini racing game, wasn't it? I remember it was the first game that introduced me to handbraking round corners, lol. Wasn't it set in Venice? I remember most the tracks were cobblestoned roads.

This was one of my favourite arcade machines (next to the full-size MR2 Ridge Racer machine.. which was as rare as hen's teeth buried in rocking-horse shit)
Damn you PS3 owners. Heavy Rain, FFXIII-VS/Agito and now GTI Club? *sighs*
