						Yeah, been doing a little uninstalling/reinstalling of various versions of codecs. Including different installers and so forth. Still without luck.

But the thing is, this video lag only occurs with this release. I can view other xvid encoded releases perfectly without this instance of choppyness occurring.

I might of got a hold of a bad copy or something, but the sfv checks out all perfect... So I'm a bit confused here.

						Tried Zoom Player, BSPlayer, Windows Media Player, Radlight, but none of them worked.

I also tried WinDVD 6, the video was played in like 4x or something, while the audio was normal. :S

						You got to make the following settings in you "ffdshow"-codec:

XviD -> disabled

Then the video is played with the latest XviD-codec and not with ffdshow-ones.

There should be no lagging in the video no more.

hope i could help

						psycho nailed it... make sure that ffdshow doesn't handle playback of xvid titles... then your latest xvid codec will take over and your lag issues will be solved....

						Oh, oh, oh! Major scientific breakthrough!

I fixed it.

After further analysis of installed codecs, it seemed InterVideo's (WinDVD) codecs, were conflicting with the installed xvid codec.

So, I uninstalled all codecs on my machine, searched the registry for any leftovers (Yeah, that took a while... ), then reinstalled the xvid codec, and forced any program to use that specific codec with ffdshow. (It didn't self-register after installation)

Then it worked. No lag!

I still haven't installed WinDVD yet though. And to me, that's a necessity... But I'm affraid it's going to screw itself up again. So my little problem might not be a 100% fixed.

Anyway, thanks for all the response and help I got from you guys!

						VLC always comes through when others fail. I prefer using BSPlayer, but when I have trouble with that, I use VLC. It's got its own codecs, so you can't hardly go wrong.
