I was using kaspersky v6, but after an update my key got blacklisted.
I installed then the latest release of v7 and it´s blacklisted too.
After reading some reviews I installed bitdefender, and after updating it got blacklisted too.
Tried a lot of keys with the keygen, but with no success.

What antivirus/release are you using? I didn´t wanted to go back to nod32.
It has already failed me a couple of times.

I use Kaspersky Internet Security 7. When my key gets blacklisted (every few weeks) I find and test new ones, until I find a working one.

i've been using KIS 7 for quite a long time now (more than half a year, and KAV even longer) and so far, i changed only 2 keys. I'd say you should use KIS 7 instead on Nod32 even if you have the change the license key every couple of weeks/months. it offers better protection than NOD32 (my opinion only)

i rigged a (task scheduled) batch file to download the update zip from their website and uncompress it to my hd and have kav update it from there, forcing it not to connect to the update service directly
this prevents having to send my illegit key to them to get it blacklisted
but this also means none of the software components get updated - just the signatures

Some leaked keys have lasted me a couple of months, most last 1-2 weeks or so. Low "price" to pay for a highquality antivirus/firewall.

are there any free ones for windows servers?
i use 2003 server as a workstation, and AV software is the only thing i have trouble finding
i'd use KAV, but can't find any that works with servers and isn't an unattended system

I definitely give thumbs-up for AVG being free, mostly nag free and as good as any of the big name guys...although, sometimes...TOO good.

You see, I've been using it for a few years now, and always install it on peoples' rigs I build/upgrade/repair, but...I cannot have it on *my* rig atm because the false-positives have gotten out of hand.

You see, it'll sporadically freak out over keygens or patchers that, after an update, seems to think are viruses incarnate, even though I've used them before without issue. Most recently it's told me that the WinRAR Ultimate v 3.71 had a virus in the installer and erased it, so I had to go hunt down another version. Not a huge deal, but it was getting to be more and more painful as these false positives escalated.

I've now had to remove my poor AVG entirely because it seems to think that the Mass Effect executable is a virus and will not let it run, soooo...I cannot play the game while AVG is installed.

*sigh*

Just my 2 cents.
