When ever I reinstall I always install Total Commander, Vlc, Winamp, Daemontools, Newsrover, Nod32, Ventrilo server+client.
Any suggestions on other programs that might be useful/fun to have?
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

CCleaner - registry cleaner & program uninstaller (beats the shit out of the windows default one)

I have two drives and I install the os on both of them one at a time with the exact same setup. I then use one of the drives as my main drive and the other as storage. If the os drive starts acting up I can switch to the storage drive as my os drive and vice versa. Only works if it's a software/os/virus related meltdown and not if the drive fails mechanically. But atleast you'll have your files on the storage drive and an os already installed.
