Can't it be the other way around as well?
Ubisoft releasing a unprotected EXE and then BAT downloads it and releases it as a NoCD?
EDIT: Seems it's not, interesting.

Would have been fun to have the file as to check it but if it did have that "reloaded" tag in it (Most groups appear to do that, visible via hex editor or similar.) I wonder what Ubisoft were doing.
(Kinda stupid to release a crack as a form of patch for certain users.)
